Collaboration analytics. Metrics

The metrics involved in passive analytics are displayed in the sections “My report” and “Employee report”.

All metrics can be divided into several categories depending on how they are calculated by the system.

Working hours

The first block of metrics we are interested in describes the time of the user's digital activity. It includes four metrics.

Active working hours

It is counted as the sum of the intersecting time periods of employee activities per week. If you select a period more than a week in the report, then the value is averaged and you are shown the median of weekly values for the selected period. Moreover, the system has its own duration set for each type of activity.

An active working day starting and ending time show the average time of the first and last communication of an employee per week (7 days). For large periods, the median of weekly values for the selected period is shown to you. If an activity is performed in the interval from 12 pm to 4 am, then the system refers it to the previous day as the last one.

Digital activity

A complex indicator that includes such metrics as the share of active working time, the share of reactions to communication with tasks and the time of response to them. Is calculated from 0 to 100.

Metrics in absolute values

This block of metrics includes quantitative metrics, for example, the number of sent emails with tasks.

The weekly value of the metrics is calculated as the number of all communications with certain parameters for the selected week. For large periods, you are shown the sum of weekly values for the selected period.

The parameters might be semantic (tasks, communication tone, conflict or praise) and/or structural (communication with internal or external contact).

To find out how Yva.ai analyzes the communication semantics, please read “How semantics in Yva.ai works”.

A contact with a team domain is considered an internal contact, a contact with a domain other than the team one is considered external.

Emails with over 10 recipients in TO and/or CC and/or BCC (in total) are not calculated. Emails that are marked as automatic are excluded from calculations.

Metrics in relative values

This block of metrics includes metrics expressed as percentages, such as the rate of responses to emails with tasks.

The weekly value of the metrics is calculated as the share of all answers to emails with certain parameters for the selected week. To do this, the system takes the emails sent by an employee and checks whether the specific email was a response to the previous one in a chain. For large periods, the median of weekly values for the selected period is shown to you.

The sent emails marked as automatic are excluded from the list of response emails.

Average response time

This block of metrics includes metrics, which show the time of response to emails with certain parameters, for example, the average time of response to emails with tasks.

For weekly calculations, the system uses all emails sent by the user in a week and checks whether a specific email was a response to a previous email with a certain parameter in the chain. For each email that is a response, the system uses the difference in HH:MM:SS between the moment the reply was sent and the moment the question was received. The median of all obtained values is applied during a week. For large periods, the median of weekly values for the selected period is shown to you.

Emails that are marked as automatic are excluded from calculations.
