In this article we will brief you on one of the most demanded and insightful tools of the Yva.ai systems. This tool is called “Activity Quadrant”.
What is the Activity Quadrant?
The Activity Quadrant is a diagram based on Activity Index and burnout pattern.
The X-axis shows the current activity of an employee over the last week under analysis.
The Y-axis shows changes in the activity: whether the Activity Index went up or down over the last month.
The Activity Quadrant allows you to compare in an unbiased manner activity of an employee with his own individual norm, and also to compare activity of different employees.
On one and the same diagram you can see activity of different employees at once, and how the activity has changed over the last month.
Since the Activity Index predicts burnout, we can use the quadrant to understand which employees are more at risk of burnout.
They are in the lowest left sector, the sector of frustration. Their Activity Index is lower than normal, and it has been steadily falling over the last month.
The upper right sector evidences the opposite. The Activity Index of the employees is high, and it has grown over the last month.
The Activity Quadrant allows you to assess activity both of certain employees and groups.
To perform analysis within a particular group, go to the "Groups" tab and select in the drop-down list the department you are interested in.
You will receive a detailed report that shows which of the employees in this group burns out, and who is doing well and demonstrates growing activity.
What is the meaning of the size of circles in the Activity Quadrant diagram?
In the individual report, the size of the circle corresponds to the social capital rating of an employee.
If you see a small circle it means that social capital of this employee is less than social capital of an employee with a big circle. And vice versa.
In the group analysis, the size of circle corresponds to the group size.
Please note: on the Activity Quadrant screen you can turn on/off labels with names in order to navigate faster or to go into detailed analytics by employees.
Who can see the Activity Quadrant?
The Activity Quadrant by groups is visible only to users with the rights of Manager and System Administrator.
How the results displayed in the Activity Quadrant should be interpreted?
If an HR specialist or head of department observes that the things of an employee go wrong, they can click on the circle of this employee and look at Yva.ai analytics to understand what is the matter.
In personal data and report for the employee we try to find the cause of the stress, look at the burnout stage and can initiate special measures to help the employee to regain their activity.
HR specialists carry out similar work with groups. For example, at some point we can see decrease in activity of certain department. You can click on the circle and see detailed results for each employee of this group or look at the group details in the "Comparative employee groups analysis" section.
How does it work in practical terms?
In the life of an employee of Yva.ai client company occured a tragedy: death of a relative. It had an impact on activity and involvement of the employee: they was so immersed in this personal drama that could not think about anything else, and their results decreased.
The company managers discovered through the Activity Quadrant that something was happening to the employee and that they needed help. The employee was given moral and financial support, thus the company was able to stop their burnout and retain a valuable collaborator.
At the level of group analysis, the Activity Quadrant eventually helped to identify an abrupt simultaneous decrease in the activity of employees of an entire department.
It turned out that the cause lied in replacement of the head of department. The former head of department who left the company was greatly appreciated by the team which was not able to accept a new leader at once. The Activity Quadrant enabled HR specialists to notice the problem, react at the right time and help the team and the new leader to reach an understanding.
